Welcome to the Writing Center
The Colorado State Writing Center is a free service offering inclusive, cooperative feedback on academic, personal, and professional writing projects. Our consultations are available to CSU students, faculty, staff, and affiliated community members.
We offer three types of consulting sessions:
- Face-to-face consultations in the Writing Center in Eddy Hall or at our satellite location in Morgan Library;
- Real-time online consultations for students whose home- or work demands make it difficult to meet with us on campus;
- Written responses to drafts sent to us via our online draft response queue.
A relaxed and supportive place, the CSU Writing Center strives to foster better writers and better writing. We look forward to working with you in person or online. Make an appointment with us today by scheduling an in-person or online consultation on the web or contacting us at writing@colostate.edu.
For instructors, we're happy to schedule 5-minute classroom visits to introduce your students to our services. Submit your request through our online form or contact us at writing@colostate.edu.

View the Workshops from WAC Week 2023
On Monday, November 6th, 2023, the WAC Program launched a week of workshops focused on helping faculty enhance student learning, engagement, and success. WAC Week—a celebration of writing across the curriculum, one of the original high impact practices—focused on how faculty can use writing assignments to deepen students understanding and ability to apply course content. Topics ranged from WAC basics, such as strategies for designing assignments and responding to student writing, to the use of multimodal assignments and generative AI to the role WAC can play in promoting inclusion and social justice. You can learn more about WAC Week and the WAC Program in CSU Source. You can view the workshop recordings on the WAC Week page.
