CSU's Composition Program Website

The Composition Program is a vital part of the English Department at Colorado State University, offering more than 250 sections of writing courses to about 6000 students each year, as well as serving between 2500 and 3000 students a year in the Writing Center. On the program's website, you can find out about Composition Program news and events, faculty, courses, and degrees, as well as access contact information and related resources.

Writing@CSU

  • Writing Guides: Through Writing@CSU, the Writing Center provides access to an extensive collection of writing guides for students. These guides are authored by CSU faculty and graduate students whose research and teaching focus on writing instruction. The Writing Center is currently working with Writing@CSU developer Mike Palmquist to update and reorganize the writing guides to better meet the needs of our users. Please be on the lookout for changes throughout the 2011/2012 academic year and update your bookmarks and links as necessary.
  • Teaching Resources: Writing@CSU offers resources for teachers including teaching guides, class writing activities and handouts, and links to the WAC Clearinghouse and other writing across the curriculum resources.
  • The Writing Studio: The Writing Studio, a service of Writing@CSU, is an online writing environment that provides a full menu of writing tools and allows writers to store their work in the cloud. Instructors can use the Writing Studio’s course management system to create an online writing environment for their classes.
